Tom Hughes opened his scoring account while the Men's 2s ruined the league-leader's 100% record.

Tom Hughes opened his account for the Men’s 1s on Saturday as they beat Crewe Vagrants’ Men’s 1s 4-1.

He was joined on the scoresheet by Mike Tonge, Brad Bates, and Andy Power with Man of the Match Charlie Weems pulling the strings in a dominant performance.

Man of the Match Stuart Higginbotham strike broke league-leaders’ Horwich’s 100% record as the Men’s 2s drew 1-1.

Both teams had goals rightly ruled out but the draw keeps Urmston close at the head of the chasing pack for the division title.

New player Lucy Griffiths and Beth Harper shard the goals and Players’ Player vote as they drew 2-2 with Didsbury Northern Ladies’ 7s.

Lucy Buckley was impressive in defence as the side sealed a hard-earned point in an end-to-end encounter.

Stacey Bell netted again for the Ladies’1s but it was not enough to prevent a 3-2 defeat to Crewe Vagrants Ladies’ 1s while the Men’s 3s fell 2-1 to Macclesfield Men’s 4s.
