Men's 2s plan great escape in final weekend while women go for cup glory.

The Men’s 2nd XI will be hoping to stage a great escape on Saturday as they take on league-leaders Ormskirk Men’s 1s.

A win or draw will see them escape the drop on the final day of the season as long as Lancaster and Morecambe lose against second-placed Preston Men’s 3s.

The Ladies’ 2s will be targeting a cup win when they take on Salford University at 11:30am on Saturday at the Armitage Centre in the GMWHA Division 3/4 Cup Final.

They will then host Oldham Ladies’ 3s at 10am on Sunday at Wellacre ahead of their final game next Sunday.

Opening up the home action will be the Ladies’ 1st XI’s season finale against Deeside RamblersLadies’ 1s at 11am knowing a draw will be enough to secure an eighth-placed finish.

Following on, the Men’s 1st XI could hold the key to the title race despite being out of it themselves as they welcome Alderley Edge Men’s 2s at 1:15pm.

The Edge haven’t lost since being downed 3-1 by the Greens in the season opener and a similar result this time around will open the door at the top or will seal a second-placed finish for Urmston.

The Men’s 3s round off the home action as they welcome West Derby Men’s 3s in the final game at 3pm.
