Captain Moe Rothwell hit four goals for the second week running as Urmston Hockey’s Ladies’ 2s beat Glossop 1s 12-0.

She was joined on the scoresheet by a four-goal haul for Becky Dean, a hat-trick for Charlotte O’Toole and a goal for Kelly Davies who split the Players’ Player vote with Rothwell.

Carolyn Barratt earned Opposition’s Player with a superb defensive display at the heart of a strong team performance.

Smith’s goal came from strong attacking work from Man of the Match Drew Ilsley and Cornelius Carey while Evan Renshaw shone in a brilliant defensive performance.

Five different players notched for the Men’s 2s as they beat Bolton 3s 6-2.

Captain Ric Clarke scored alongside a brace for Man of the Match Matt Downes and goals from Lewis Monk, Stuart Higginbottom, and Rob Skelley.

Andy Power’s last minute equaliser sealed a share of the spoils in the Men’s 1s 4-4 draw with West Derby 1s in a match mired in controversy that left the Greens frustrated.

Mike Tonge and Andy Lowe notched alongside Power’s brace as Tonge and Matt Podmore had goals inexplicably disallowed in a chaotic contest.
