The Lineup

MC: Katie Tracey

Katie was runner up in the 2012 Funny Women finals. She has the audience in stitches with her own brand of cheeky humour and wit.
She is a warm and likeable MC who can adapt to the room and make instant friends with the audience.
She has worked around the Country, and has been tour support for Arthur Smith.
She is also an actor and writer, and has written and performed in plays that were in sold out runs at The Liverpool Actors Studio, and performed at the St Helens Theatre Royal. She’s also acted and performed comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Fran Garrity

As heard on BBC's Jesting about, Grin up North and BBC New Comedy awards.
Warm up tour support for Jason Manford.
Finalist City comedian of the year & Harrogate comedian of the year.
Currently on tour with Faith, Hope & Garrity.

"Had a bit more 'bite' than most on the bill, and the crowd took to it with energy. His self-deprecating stuff about his Teeside heritage was gritty and punchy, backed up with a keenness in observation and a good turn-of-phrase. Good." - The Stand (Newcastle).

Catherine Burgis

Since re-discovering her childhood miniature novelty Yamaha Portasound PSS-149 keyboard in her parent’s attic in late 2018, and attaching a trademarked Keyboard Stability System (strap), Catherine has criss-crossed the country from her home town of Manchester performing alongside this versatile and (crucially) lightweight instrument. Not one to shy away from the big issues, Catherine’s songs range from a thought provoking ballad on the perils of multi-format printing to musical advice on how to achieve domestic bliss in small, confined spaces. Expect a sonic whirlwind of synthesised anxiety dreams. Winner 25th Best New Northern Act Award at the Frog and Bucket February 2019; winner Beat the Gong at the Arc Stockton June 2019; Hilarity Bites New Comedian of the Year 2019 Finalist, Cheshire Kittens New Comedian 2019 Runner Up; Funny Women 2019 Semi-finalist.

Ash Preston

Ash Preston has been performing on the comedy circuit since late 2008 after a workshop with Stand-Out comedy in Liverpool at his University convinced to go off into a career of attempting to humour people for pennies. He has performed all over the country with his eccentric storytelling and high energy stage persona. Once described as a 'friendly misanthrope.' Fiercely proud of his working class upbringing and underdog mentality... He also resembles several murderers. Described as 'A Tsunami of manic energy', Ash Preston mixes a high energy stage persona with an eccentric style of storytelling, performing regularly around the country and mainland Europe.
"Captured the crowd with his high energy lovable act" – Cosmic Comedy Berlin.

Vince Atta

An unstoppable force! Like an intravenous shot of adrenaline!" - Steve Bennett, Chortle
Arena tour support for Jason Manford.
Nothing less than a phenomenon, Vince Atta has the industry ignited! Using a multi-track looper, Vince creates live on-the-spot Hip-Hop/Reggae/Techno/anything; hilariously fusing it with natural stand-up, storytelling and audience interaction – creating the most infectious songs you’re ever likely to hear… it really is quite a show! Since his musical reinvention, Vince is very much in demand; headlining most British clubs and a veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe.
