There is an absolute buzz around the hockey club right now. The regular season might be over, but things are far from quiet at Urmston HC. From summer leagues to serious mountain climbing, here is a breakdown of everything currently underway and how you can get involved.

Summer Hockey is in Full Swing!
If you're missing your weekly hockey fix, we have plenty of options to keep your fitness up and your stick skills sharp over the warmer months:

Timperley Summer League: Our Ladies are taking to the pitch on Tuesday nights, and the Mens teams are battling it out on Friday nights.

Urmston Mixed League: Our very own internal mixed league is officially underway! A huge shoutout to the teams competing: Net Zero, Yas’s Yellow Submarines, Urmston Black, and Urmston Red. We are only two weeks in, so there is still plenty of time to get involved. It’s incredibly social, super friendly, and the perfect way to stay active and meet great people this summer.

NW500 Masters Mixed League: The Masters season is well underway and the competition is heating up! Are you aged 40 or over and missing the game? We want you back! Whether you’ve taken a break for a couple of seasons or it's been a few years since you last wore the Urmston colours, our Masters squad is the perfect excuse to dust off your stick. We’d love to see some familiar faces and old teammates returning to the club for some great hockey and even better company.

The Three Peaks Challenge
Away from the pitch, a brilliantly mad bunch of our club comrades are currently training to take on the infamous Three Peaks Challenge!

Practice walks are already ongoing to get everyone's legs ready for the climbs. Whether you are officially signed up for the challenge or just fancy a scenic weekend hike with great company, you are more than welcome to join the crew on their next practice trek.
